We are looking forward to a longed for reunion when the Swedish artist Lars Winnerbäck again visits St. Olav Festival and the stage in the Archbishop’s Yard.
Over the years Winnerbäck has grown to become the greatest artist in Sweden, and he has steadily built a huge fan base in Norway too. Through his personal lyrics and strong melodies with a melancholy character, he has managed to reach many people, being populist and credible at the same time.
Winnerbäck released his tenth studio album, Hosianna, this autumn recieveing excellent reviews both in Sweden and Norway. And his tour afterwards was a huge success with sold-out tickets and great concert reviews. The largest newspaper in Sweden, Aftonbladet, wrote that Winnerbäck never been better than he was then. Having released ten studio albums he has a long line of catchy songs to fill his concerts, either with a full band and sing-along or alone with his acoustic guitar and harmonica. Full speed or well subdued. A concert by Lars Winnerbäck offers great variety in expression, but the inner intensity is the same.
He visited the festival in 2010 and we are confident that the concert this year will also be a night to remember.
