It’s 30 years since Anne Grete Preus released her debut album Fullmåne with texts of Jens Bjørneboe. Now she presents the concert performance Bjørneboe & jeg specially for St. Olav Festival.
The albums of Anne Grete Preus are characterised by poetic texts set to the tones of a distinctive music expression. In her first solo album, she set texts of Jens Bjørnboe to music. In addition to a selection from the 200 songs in the queen of rock’s collection, it will primarily be songs from this album, Fullmåne (1988), we will hear this evening.
Preus can be subdued, melancholy and forceful – all in the same album – without losing her identity. The concert is specially designed for the little stone church – Church of Our Lady. Bjørneboe’s texts, mystical and at the same time direct, will unfold to the acoustics of the space and create a poignant atmosphere.
